HLTAID013 – Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site is the nationally recognised course designed for people working or travelling in environments where emergency services may be delayed or inaccessible.
This training includes full certification in:
✅ HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
✅ HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Workers in mining, agriculture, defence, or regional health
Outdoor education providers, remote tour guides or rangers

What you’ll learn
This course prepares you to confidently manage medical emergencies in locations where ambulance response times may be extended. Topics include:
Responding to First Aid incidents with limited resources
Applying remote-specific First Aid procedures
Communication protocols when mobile reception is poor or absent
Strategies for prolonged care until help arrives
Managing environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and terrain hazards
It also includes hands-on CPR, bleeding control, shock, anaphylaxis, fractures, bites, remote-specific scenario training, and more.

Certification & Compliance
On successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for:
HLTAID013 – Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
HLTAID009 – Provide CPR
This certification meets requirements for remote workers under national WHS legislation and is valid for 3 years, with CPR refreshed annually as recommended.
