In an education and care setting, you are more than an educator; you are the guardian of the future.
Our HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting course is designed specifically for those who carry the immense responsibility of caring for infants and children.
Why "Good Enough" Isn't Enough
Most first aid providers teach you the steps. At REACHAU, we teach you the science and the psyche behind the action.
Backed by a Bachelor of Health Science and a Diploma of Mental Health, founder Britt Brennan integrates trauma-informed strategies into every session. We focus on the unique physiological differences of small bodies, where every second and every choice matters and the stakes seem so much higher.
This course is fully ACECQA-approved and meets the latest 2026 Western Australian regulatory requirements for child safety under the National Quality Framework (NQF). Whether you are a lead educator in a childcare centre, a family day care provider, or a parent wanting the ultimate peace of mind, this training builds the "auto-pilot" muscle memory required to act during a crisis.
Key Outcomes You Will Master:
Paediatric Life Support: Specialist CPR and AED techniques for infants and children.
Critical Management: Responding to anaphylaxis (EpiPen), asthma, and febrile convulsions with calm authority.
Trauma-Aware Care: Distraction and communication techniques to support a child’s emotional state during injury.
Legal & Regulatory Excellence: Accurate incident reporting and compliance with WA Education and Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) standards.
Join us to transform your uncertainty into quiet capability. You aren't just getting a certificate; you are becoming the steady hand that a child can rely on when it matters most.
Working with children means being ready for anything, falls, asthma attacks, allergic reactions, or even cardiac arrest.
